GRANITE INTERFACE

Brief

An internal study in restraint: how far can a product interface be stripped back before it stops feeling like software and starts feeling like an instrument.

Materials

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind
  • Figma

Constraint

No color beyond ivory, void, and a single bronze accent. No shadows, no gradients standing in for depth — only contrast and grain.

Form

Interface as slab. Every panel reads as a flat plane of material, edges hairline-thin, hierarchy carried entirely by type scale and spacing rather than elevation.

Dashboard, resting state

Command panel, expanded

Detail view, close light

Outcome

A working proof that a product interface can hold real density of information without a single drop shadow — the study now informs the default surface language across new Sirpion engagements.
